General Mark Owen tapped as Civergy CEO

English: Shield of the USAF Strategic Air Command

US Air Force Brigadier General Mark Owen (retired) has been appointed Chief Executive Office as of March 2014.

Mark is more than just “qualified to lead” the Civergy family of companies, as we move towards building an organization that provides a range of critical services and indispensible products — from cybersecurity to energy security, business intelligence to engineering solutions, and alternative transportation to creative workflow management and complete management services.

A Legion of Merit honoree, also recognized for his services to the nation during the global war on terror, he’s a man who quite literally led from the front.

As Director of Plans and Policy, US Strategic Command, at the Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, Mark was responsible for developing both the country’s strategic war plan and contingency planning for a global strike mission.

A 1979 graduate of the US Air Force Academy, his academic credentials are a reflection of wide-ranging interests and abilities: Two Bachelors’ degrees (a biology premed and electrical engineering), two Masters’ degrees (Systems Management and National Security Strategy) and a stop by Harvard’s Kennedy School for the US-Russia Security Program, for good measure.
